National open men's double and veteran badminton competition taking place tomorrow
Rupandehi. 11 December (2020) - First national open men's double and veteran badminton competition is taking place tomorrow (Saturday) at Sainamaina in Rupandehi district.
Sixty groups from Kathmandu, Kaski, Chitwan, Makawanpur, Syangja districts among others would participate in the tournament that would be organised at a covered hall at Murgiya, said Nanda Bahadur Thapa, President of Sainamaina Badminton Club at a press conference today here.
Nepali Army and Nepal Police have registered their name for the competition, he added. Chief Coach at the Nepal Badminton Association Sudip Yonjan and umpires Sudip Shakya and Udaya Aryal have reached the district for the match.
In open men's double category, winner will receive Rs 51,000, a trophy and a certificate, first runner-up Rs 35,000, a trophy and a certificate and second runner-up Rs 20,000, a trophy and a certificate. Likewise, in veteran category, winner will get Rs 30,000, a trophy and a certificate, first runner-up Rs 20,000, a trophy and a certificate and second runner-up Rs 15,000, a trophy and a certificate.
