Dissolution of parliament: SC issues show cause order

Kathmandu, 25 December (2020) - The Supreme Court of Nepal on Friday has issued show cause order against respondents after hearing writ petitions against the dissolution of House of Representatives.
Constitutional bench led by Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana issued the show cause order against the respondents: Office of the President and the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
The Court ordered the respondents to submit a written reply about the cause for the dissolution of parliament.
One of the writ petitioners Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi informed Lokantar about the issuance of show cause order against respondents.
