Lumbini Province CM shocked to find Dang leaders joining Prachanda-Nepal faction

Kathmandu, 25 December (2020) - Nepal Communist Party leaders in Dang district have joined the Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" and Madhav Kumar Nepal faction. Dang is home district of Lumbini Province Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel.
The district committee meeting has termed PM KP Sharma Oli's move unconstitutional, rightist and against party principles and has decided to protest the move.
CM Pokharel is a die-hard Oli loyalist.
District in-charge Jeevan Gautam, district chairman Tikaram Khadka and secretary Tula Ram Pun issued a press release and urged all to be unified against the PM's unconstitutional move.
Khadka belongs to former CPN-UML while Gautam and Pun are former Maoists.
Khadka said, "The House should not be dissolved on a whim. We are against the leaders' foolish move."
Khadka told Lokantar that more than 90 members in district committee support them. The committee has a total of 155 members.
Saying that the separation helps no one, Khadka urged leaders to patch up.
