We are attracted to Oli's nationalism: Mani Thapa
Kathmandu, 23 February (2021) - Minister of Water Supply and Sanitation Mani Thapa said that he and others are attracted to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's stance of linking nationalism with communist politics.
Addressing the full meeting of the central committee of the National Youth Association in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Thapa said that Oli took the progressive path while Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" and Madhav Kumar Nepal took the path of regression.
"Oli has tried to link nationalism with communist movement. We were attracted to Oli's stance on nationalism," former Maoist leader Thapa said.
Thapa also said that Oli's nationalist stance is a new concept in Nepal's communist movement.
"Large number of people are attracted to Oli because he has analysed Nepal's communist movement in light of Nepali society's culture. It is a new concept in Nepal's communist movement," he said.
