Phembu elected KCAMC president
Taplejung, 25 February (2021) - Khagendra Limbu Phembu has been unanimously elected president of the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Management Council (KCAMC).
Man Kumar Rai from Kanchenjunga consumer committee was chosen as member secretary and Phupu Chhowang Sherpa from Ghunsa Sekathum consumer committee treasurer, said the Council's conservation officer Ganesh Prasad Tiwari.
Phembu's term as president of the Council is three years. The newly formed leadership of the Council has 13 members.
