Province 1 chief Adhikari offers greetings on New Year 2078

Biratnagar, 14 April (2021) - Chief of Province 1 Somnath Adhikari 'Pyasi' has offered best wishes of good health, progress and prosperity to all Nepali sisters and brothers including them from the Province at home and abroad on the occasion of Nepali New Year 2078. 

Rich in variations in history, culture, society, nature, geography and environment, the Province is a reflection of social integrity and mutual friendship among all communities, he said in a message of greetings.  

He in the message also thanked all for their role in movements for achieving and safeguarding nationality, democracy, self-esteems and human rights. 

The Province chief also urged people to take cautions and follow a health protocol in view of increasing Covid-19 infections.

Similarly, Chief Minister of Province no 1 government, Sherdhan Rai has extended best wishes to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of the Nepali New Year 2078 BS. He has wished for the happiness, peace, prosperity and continued progress of all Nepalis.

In a message on the occasion, CM Rai said the nation was moving ahead with a new vision, working style and a clear objective of achieving the national goal of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali' along with peace, stability and good governance with the arrival of the New Year. He has wished that may the New Year become result-oriented.

"We had thought that the long political transition has come to an end with the promulgation of the federal democratic republican constitution in the country. But some people who wanted to create confusion and to take the country towards instability had continued their efforts. 

However, we have not backtracked nor we will from our common responsibility and role of making the nation self-reliant by speeding up the journey towards prosperity along with economic and social transformation building on the historical achievements made through long political change."

He has urged one and all to adopt health safety measures with added alertness against coronavirus infection as we are still fighting against the pandemic.

Chief Minister Rai has said the past year 2077 BS had remained as a year for building important basis for development for the province government despite various odds.
