Second dose of Verocell vaccine to roll out from May 16

Kathmandu, 13 May (2021) - The Ministry of Health and Population is rolling out the second dose of 'Verocell', the anti-Covid-19 vaccines, from May 16. 

The District Health Office, Kathmandu informed through a notice today that the second dose of the vaccines would be administered to people between 18 to 59 years of age, who have taken the first dose, till May 25.

Chief Public Health Officer at the Office, Buddhi Bahadur Khadka urged all those who have taken the first dose of Verocell vaccine to visit the vaccination centre of their convenience for the second jab. 

The notice states that those who had received the first dose vaccine from April 7 to 10 will be given the second dose on May 16, those who received the first dose on April 11 and 12 will be given the second dose vaccines on May 17, those who took the first dose on April 13 and 15 will be administered the second dose on May 18, those taking the first dose of the vaccine on April 16 and 17 should take the second dose on May 19 and those taking the first dose on April 18 and 19 should take the second dose on May 20. 

Likewise, those who received the first dose vaccines from April 20 to 23 should go for the second dose vaccination on May 21, those who took the first does on April 24 and 25 will get the second dose on May 22, those who took the first dose on April 26 should go for the second dose on May 23, those who took first dose on April April 27 should go for the second dose on May 24  and those who took the first dose on april 28 should go for the second dose on May 25.

The first dose of Verocell vaccine was administered from April 7 to 28.
