Nepali Congress appeals all party MPs to vote for PM Deuba, issues whip to own leaders

Kathmandu, 18 July (2021) - Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to appeal all political parties in the parliament to give votes of confidence to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The party's parliamentary party meeting on Sunday at Parliament Building in New Baneshwar came to the decision.

Congress party whip Pushpa Bhusal said that Madhav Nepal faction of CPN-UML too will cast votes in favour of PM Deuba.

"The party has urged all parties in the House of Representatives to provide support to PM Deuba for the implementation of the constitution and parliamentary system," Bhusal said. "The support of parties that had allied in the past to protect constitution will remain intact."

NC has issued a whip to all its members of parliament to be mandatorily present in the parliament and vote for Deuba.

PM Deuba is trying to take vote of confidence in the second meeting of the parliament session on Sunday.
