SC justices decide to urge Chief Justice Rana to quit

Kathmandu, 25 October (2021) - Justices of the Supreme Court have decided on Monday to urge embattled Chief Justice (CJ) Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana to make way for the current impasse.
Arriving at a conclusion that all the problems that judiciary currently faces have its roots in the leader (the CJ), the justices have indirectly asked him to quit.
The justices have decided to hold a group discussion with CJ Rana tomorrow at 11:30 am, one of the justices participating in the meeting informed Lokantar.
A total of 13 justices had attended the meeting on Monday.
Deepak Kumar Karki, Meera Khadka, Hari Krishna Karki, Bhishwanbhar Shrestha, Dr Anand Mohan Bhattarai, Prakash Man Singh Raut, Bam Kumar Shrestha, Tanka Bahadur Moktan, Prakash Kumar Dhungana. Sushma Lata Mathema, Kumar Regmi, Hari Prasad Phuyal and Manoj Kumar Sharma participated in the meeting.
Justice Nahakul Subedi who was present in the previous meeting could not attend the meeting today due to ill health, the source claimed.
