Consensus reached for senior vice-chairman, general secretary and deputy in UML
Kathmandu, 29 November (2021) - Consensus has been reached for the posts of senior vice-chairman, general secretary and deputy general secretary of CPN-UML at the 10th national congress organized in Chitwan district.
Chiarman of the group of chairmen KP Sharma Oli had proposed a list of candidates for different posts of office bearers.
Only Ishwor Pokharel filed candidacy for the post of vice-chairman and won it unopposed.
Shankar Pokharel also did not face opposition for the post of general secretary.
Pradip Gyawali, Prithvi Subba Gurung and Bishnu Rimal have been elected deputy general secretary through consensus.
KP Oli and Bhim Rawal are fighting for the post of chairman.
Ghanshyam Bhusal has filed candidacy for the post of vice-chairman outside Oli's panel. There will be election for the post.
Bhim Acharya and Tanka Karki have filed candidacy for the post of secretary outside Oli's recommendation. Therefore, election for the post will take place.
Voting will take place Monday evening.
