Senior litterateur Bhandari passes away
Mangalbare, 2 January (2022) - Senior litterateur Madhav Prasad Bhandari has died. The 86-year-old writer from Sumbek, Ilam Municipality -2, had been living in Lubhu, Kathmandu. He breathed his last at his residence in Kathmandu, according to family sources.
Bhandari has over a dozen literary works to his credit. 'Nepali Katha (Nepali short stories)', 'Gaunghar Katha', 'Sundar Alankar (co-writing)' 'Janmaghar', a drama, 'Hamro Sahitya Ra Shityakar' an anthology of essays, 'Purnima', a novel, are some of his best-known creations, according to Radheshyam Lekali, a litterateur.
He has also received various literary awards like the Mainali Katha Puraskar and Mahananda Puraskar. Litterateur Bhandari was also decorated with the Prabala Gorakha Dakshinbahu Fourth medal.
