KP Oli claims that his party will secure majority in upcoming elections

Kathmandu, 11 February (2022) - Chairman of the main opposition CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli claimed that his party will fight the incumbent coalition and secure majority seats.
Addressing the virtual training session to cadres about the preparations for local elections, Oli claimed that his party will emerge victorious in all three levels of elections.
He said, "We fought alone with the then incumbent coalition in 2017 and secured 41 percent vote shares. We will get majority in upcoming polls."
Oli said that his party will not allow the government to run away from elections.
"We won't split the coalition but will defeat them even when they are united. They may devise different ways to contest the elections but they can't run away from elections. Don't dream about trying to win elections by switching the lights out or tearing up the ballots," he said.
