Nepali Congress finalizes mayoral candidates for 3 metropolitan cities

Kathmandu, 25 April (2022) - Nepali Congress party has finalized the names of mayoral candidates for all three metropolitan cities of the country.
Sirjana Singh from Kathmandu, Chiribabu Maharjan from Lalitpur and Nagesh Koirala from Biratnagar will become candidates for the post of mayor, sources confirm.
Maharjan is incumbent mayor while two other candidates are fresh faces.
Sirjana is NC leader Prakashman Singh's wife.
Nagesh is said to be close to NC leader Shekhar Koirala.
All the parties need to finalize the names of candidates today.
