Nepali Congress leads in Maoist stronghold
Kathmandu, 14 May (2022) - Nepali Congress is leading at a rural municipality in Rolpa district which is considered CPN-Maoist stronghold.
Hari Bahadur Pun of Nepali Congress is leading with 584 in Gangadevi Rural Municipality. Roshan Oli of CPN-UML is following him with 464 votes.
Birbahadur Khatri of Maoist Centre has received 330 votes.
Rolpa is the birthplace of Maoist insurgency.
Amrita Kumari KC of Nepali Congress is leading with 611 votes for deputy mayor while Nirmala Kumari Oli of UML has secured 470 votes so far.
