Ministers Khand, Sharma meet JSP Chairman to discuss Citizenship Bill
Kathmandu, 20 May (2022) - Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Govinda Prasad Sharma Koirala have met Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav at latter's residence this morning.
During the meeting, contemporary political issues as well as the government's policies and programmes to be tabled in the Federal Parliament were discussed, Minister Khand's secretariat shared.
Likewise, the leaders discussed about different bills including the Citizenship Bill that the government is preparing to table in the parliament after forging consensus among the political parties.
Home Minister Khand said that positive talks were held on tabling Citizenship Bill on political parties' consensus.
On Thursday, Minister Khand and Minister Sharma had met with Maoist Centre's Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' regarding the Citizenship Bill.
