Mayoral candidate Balen polls more than 43,000 votes
Kathmandu, 23 May (2022) - Independent mayoral candidate Balen Sah continues to widen his lead in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Out of 144,549 counted votes, he has polled 43,183 votes so far while his closest rival Sirjana Singh of Nepali Congress is trailing him with 25,835 votes.
Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML has been pushed to third position with 24,835 votes.
Meanwhile, Sunita Dangol of CPN-UML has widened her lead in deputy mayoral race. She has polled 45,875 votes so far.
Her closest rival Rameshwar Shrestha of CPN-Unified Socialist has received 15,282 votes.
