"There were preparations for stripping UML ministers of their portfolio"

Kathmandu, 27 February (2023) - CPN-UML has quit the government due to the condescending behaviour of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, DPM and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has alleged.
Announcing the decision to take leave of government on Monday, Poudel said that the PM treated UML ministers very badly.
"We had plans to remain in government even if there was no agreement for the president," Poudel said. "But the PM's statements and attitude towards UML and its ministers forced us to quit the government."
"He gave an unreasonable instruction to Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Paudyal and gave a statement that UML ministers would be stripped of their portfolio. His public speeches against UML and its participation in the government compelled us to leave at once."
