Bhusal gets Thaman-Mahesh Memorial Journalism Prize

Kaski, 19 March (2023) - Bibhu Bhusal, a working journalist from Kaski, has been provided with Thaman-Mahesh Memorial Journalism Prize. The prize is established by the Press Centre Nepal, Kaski chapter in memory of the then editor Thaman Pariyar of Swabhiman Weekly and its journalist Mahesh Pahari.
The prize carries a purse of Rs 25,000 and a letter of appreciation.
Former minister and general secretary of CPN (Maoist Centre) Dev Prasad Gurung handed over the prize to Bhusal on Saturday in Pokhara on the occasion of the chapter's general assembly.
Active in journalism for two decades, Bhusal is a member of policy department of the Press Centre Nepal.
The prize is given every year to the journalists for their dedication to pro-people journalism, chairman of Press Centre Nepal Kaski chapter Krishna Dawadi said.
