Prachanda secures vote of confidence once more
Kathmandu, 20 March (2023) - Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" has secured vote of confidence once more in the House of Representatives.
He got 172 votes in favour at the voting conducted on Monday. 89 votes were cast against him. A total of 262 members of parliament had attended the meeting.
Nepali Congress, CPN Maoist Centre, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janata Samjwadi Party, CPN Socialist Unified, Janamat Party, Loktantrik Samjwadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and Rastriya Janamorcha voted in favour of PM Prachanda.
CPN-UML and Rastriya Prajatantra Party voted against him.
One MP of Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party voted neither in favour nor against the PM.
In the earlier vote of confidence Prachanda had secured landslide 268 votes.
