New ministers take oath of office and secrecy
Kathmandu, 31 March (2023) - PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda"-led cabinet has been reshuffled Friday.
Newly appointed ministers have taken oath of office and secrecy in special ceremony at Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas.
From Nepali Congress Purna Bahadur Khadka as Deputy PM and Defence Minister, Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat as Finance Minister, Ramesh Rijal as Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister and Sita Gurung as Urban Development Minister have take the oath.
Shakti Basnet of CPN-Maoist has take oath as Energy Minister.
CPN-US's Beduram Bhusal has taken oath as Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development while Prakash Jwala is the new Minister of Physical Infrastructure.
Ashok Rai of Janata Samajwadi Party as the new Education Minister and Sharat Singh Bhandari of Loktantrik Samajwadi Party as the new Labour Minister have also taken oath.
Nepal Samajwadi Party's Mahendra Rai Yadav as Minister of Women and Children and Nagarik Unmukti's Ranjita Shrestha as Minister of Land Management have also taken oath.
Narayankaji Shrestha's portfolio has changed and he is now Minister of Home Affairs.
The PM still holds five ministries. Four among them are allotted to Nepali Congress.
