Girl hacked to death in Khandbari
Sankhuwasabha, 26 May (2023) - A 21-year-old girl has been murdered this morning at Ghimiregaun in Khandbari Municipality-1, Sankhuwasabha.
Yuna Darnal of Sabhapokhari Rural Municipality-1, currently living in the district headquarters, was murdered by Nandaram Gadal, 23, of Sabhapokhari Rural Municipality, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Birendra Godar said.
Yuna was residing in a rented-room in Khandbari.
Police said that Gadal attempted to kill self after murdering the girl. Critically injured Gadal is receiving treatment in District Hospital, Khandbari.
It is said that Gadal had arrived in Khandbari on Thursday after completing a three-month-long training of Nepal Police.
Police shared that Gadal and deceased Darnal had shared a room last night.
Reasons behind the murder case is not ascertained as yet, police said.
