Government continues giving senior citizen allowance

Kathmandu, 29 May (2023) - The government has announced to continue with senior citizen allowance.
While making public the annual budget 2023/24 in the joint parliament meeting on Monday, Minister of Finance Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat announced that 157 billion and 730 million rupees have been allocated for the allowance.
He also said that giving social security allowance directly to the beneficiaries through banks will be further managed.
The government has not increased the allowance money for the upcoming fiscal.
