Double amputee Everest climber Budha Magar honoured
Kathmandu, 30 May (2023) - CPN (Maoist Centre) has honoured Everest climber Hari Budha Magar. The 43-year-old reached the top of the world's highest mountain on May 19, becoming the first double above-the-knee amputee to accomplish this feat.
Party Vice-Chair Krishna Bahadur Mahara, honoured the climber, the ex-Gurkha army, amidst a programme organised today at the party central office, Parisdanda.
It has been reported Budha Magar is preparing to launch a 'world peace campaign' and in support of this initiative, Mahara pledged full assistance on behalf of the party.
