SC's constitutional bench to continue hearing cases against dissolution of HoR

Kathmandu, 15 January (2021) - Constitutional bench of the Supreme Court (SC) will continue hearing the writ petitions against dissolution of House of Representatives.
Hearing on Friday has ended with the court saying that the hearing will continue from Sunday, one of the petitioners Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi told Lokantar.
Writ petitioners had requested the bench to take the hearing to extended full bench but the bench has denied it.
Advocates from the government side on Friday presented arguments during the hearing at the constitutional bench led by Chief Justice (CJ) Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana.
Amicus Curiae convened by the SC too gave their suggestions to the bench.
Constitutional bench is comprised of CJ Rana, Justices Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha, Anil Kumar Sinha, Sapana Pradhan Malla and Tej Bahadur KC.
