Kathmandu, 26 February (2021) - Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepal Communist Party Deputy Chairman Bamdev Gautam met at PM's official residence on Friday.

Gautam went to Baluwatar at around 3 pm and talked with the PM for around an hour.

''He proposed for party unification to the PM,'' a source close to Gautam told Lokantar.

But Oli did not give him a clear answer. Nepal Communist Party is virtually divided.

Gautam has been advocating for a graceful exit of the PM after the reinstatement of the House of Representatives.

But Oli has been resisting calls for resignation.

Oli has today removed Dev Gurung from the post of chief whip and appointed Bishal Bhattarai in his place.
