Agricultural industrial park helps villagers increase income in Xinjiang

Urumqi, 14 December (2021) - Shache County, located on the southwestern fringe of the Taklimakan Desert, has been hampered by the various barriers to economic development posed by the enormous desert.
In 2021, the county built an agricultural industrial park using the wide barren land's solar resources. Greenhouses, sheep breeding bases, and poultry breeding bases have been established in the industrial park, helping approximately 3,000 villagers find jobs close to their homes and increase their income.
