Nepali Congress loses PM Deuba's ward

Kathmandu, 14 May (2022) - Nepali Congress has lost ward number 1 of Ganyapdhura Rural Municipality in Dadeldhura district.
This is PM Sher Bahadur Deuba's voting place.
Nepali Congress-BP candidate Naresh Bhandari has been elected ward chairperson. Bhandari was fighting election with Karuwa electoral symbol. Nepali Congress-BP has swept the panel.
Bhandari secured 673 votes while Nepali Congress candidate received 544 votes.
However, Nepali Congress candidates have won in other wards of Ganyapdhura Rural Municipality.
