Maoist Centre wins Chishankhugadhi Rural Municipality in Okhaldhunga
Kathmandu, 16 May (2022) - Nishant Sharma of CPN-Maoist Centre has been elected chairperson at Chishankhugadhi Rural Municipality in Okhaldhunga district.
He polled 3,198 votes to win the second tenure. His nearest rival Ashok Thapa of CPN-UML got 2,691 votes.
Santoshbabu Thapa has been elected deputy chairperson with 3,116 votes. He defeated Susmita Rai of CPN-UML with 1,066 votes, Rai polled 2,050 votes.
Maoist Centre won four among eight wards of the rural municipality while Nepali Congress won two wards and CPN-UML won a ward.
