Buddha's message of peace, non-violence world popular: Education Minister Paudel
London, 23 May (2022) - Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Paudel has said Buddha's message of peace and non-violence are popular around the world. Born in Nepal, his contribution for the welfare of humankind, said the minister at an event organised on Saturday in London on the occasion of the 2566th Buddha Jayanti.
"I would kindly urge people's leaders and philosophers of the world to learn from Buddha's philosophy, customs and culture. Bodhi Gyan (enlightenment) attained by Buddha while meditating under a tree after leaving behind his family and house is still universal," he said, adding that we Nepali people are proud that he was born in Nepal. One can get peace and welfare by accepting and following his messages and guidelines, he said.
