Ram Chandra Paudel elected new President of Nepal
Kathmandu, 9 March (2023) - Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Paudel has been elected new President of Nepal.
He defeated CPN-UML candidate Subash Chandra Nemwang in the election held on Thursday.
313 Members of Parliament and 818 Members of Provincial Assembly cast their votes in the election.
Paudel won with landslide 33, 802 votes as he received support from a dozen parties. Nemwang got 15,518 votes.
